New - Emerald cut gemstones now available

I've added emerald cut gemstones to my website.  Almost all of the faceted stones can now be ordered in this shape.  I have three sizes available - 5x3, 6x4 and 7x5.  I've also updated my gemstone information page to show the average carat weight of the different stone sizes and shapes.

I'm going to start putting together some of my favorite gemstone combinations and offering those rings for sale.  You can always customize your own rings, but these new sets are nice combinations.  If anything, they will also give you an idea of what a finished ring will look like with those stone size/shape combinations.

Shown below are three of the new rings.  This is a good example of the differences in gemstone sizes.

I would consider the Caribbean Blue ring to be a combination of "small" gemstones.  Even though smaller stones have been used for this stack ring, the finished stack ring is a very nice statement.

The Summer Berries stack ring is an example of what I would consider to be a medium sized gemstone stack ring.  Very bold when all the stones are combined.

Then there is the Wildflowers ring.  This is an example of stacking together rings with large gemstones.

A mix of sizes

I sent this ring off to one of my customers today and took some time to take a quick photo for the website.  Over the next few months, I'm going to build a special "gallery" page for the stackable rings to show examples of mixing sizes and shapes.  I know that, with all the difference choices, sometimes it can be overwhelming.

I wanted to post this photo here to show you how it's nice to mix different sizes and stone shapes.  The Amethyst is a large 5x7 oval, the Aquamarine is a 4mm round and the Rhodolite Garnet is a smaller 3mm round.  With the large Amethyst, the two different sized round stones compliment the space on the stack rings.

This is a nice example of how just because one or more large stones are being used doesn't mean that adding smaller stones is going to ruin the finished design.

Tranquility ring back in stock - but limited quantity available

I was able to secure a few more high-quality cabochons for the Tranquility ring and it is now back in stock.  Please note that there is a limited quantity available.

New Designs in the Store

I have some new designs in the store, including Modern Stacks, new Chocolate Diamond Stacks and I've added the squares back to the Customize It rings.

The Modern Stacks can be customized with whatever gemstones you choose.  These are thick sterling silver bands with a hammer-textured finish and high shine polish.  The gemstones are set in low-profile solid 14k yellow gold settings.

The Chocolate Diamond Stacks are available in two different sizes - 2mm and 3mm fair trade Chocolate Diamonds.  The thick sterling silver bands are hammer-textured and also polished to a high shine.  The low-profile bezels are created with solid 14k yellow gold.

I've also finally added the newly redesigned squares back to the Customize It rings.  The square stones are now available in 3mm, 4mm and 5mm sizes.

Updating the "Customize It" Rings

You may have noticed that the square stones are currently not listed on the "customize it" ring page.  I'm in the process of updating my settings for the squares.  I'm working on casting the square bezels to make the whole process more time efficient.  If you knew how long it took me to make and set the square stones, you would probably think I was crazy to be selling them!

After two months of working 14-19 hours a day (including weekends) to keep up with orders, I knew it was time for some revisions - either that, or I would collapse from exhaustion.  I think I've had a total of maybe 6 days off since mid-November.

I should have everything updated by the weekend.  I also have some new "customize it" rings on the way.  They are completed and I'm just waiting on the new photos.  They should also be up sometime this weekend or early next week.

I hope you check back!  Thank you all!
